About

A creator and innovator of data and software solutions, studying Data Science at UC San Diego.

I'm a Data Science student at UC San Diego who likes turning messy, real-world data into systems people actually use. Across roles at GelTech Labs, Laxcen Technologies, and UCSD Athletics, I've shipped machine-learning models, real-time cloud pipelines, and full-stack apps that take raw sensor or sport data all the way to a clear decision.

My through-line is end-to-end ownership: I build the data layer (PostgreSQL, MQTT, AWS), the models (XGBoost, PyTorch, scikit-learn), and the product around them (React, Next.js, FastAPI) — increasingly wiring LLM and agentic workflows on top. I'm an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and I care most about work that's measurable, grounded, and genuinely useful.

Work Experience

  1. June 2026 — Present

    Machine Learning & AI Engineer

GelTech Labs · San Diego, CA

    • Co-developed AnGel AI, a cloud-based R&D testing service for GelTech's hydrogel hardware that sharpens its predictions with every test using gradient-boosted models.
    • Stood up a live PostgreSQL database synced in real time through MQTT publishers deployed on GelTech's hardware.
    • Built XGBoost and PyTorch ML pipelines, exposed as callable tools for a self-hosted open-weights LLM (function-calling) that recommends clients' remaining tests and price estimates.
  2. June 2026 — Present

    Software Engineer

Laxcen Technologies · Laguna Hills, CA

    • Built an internal pricing tool used across the sales department, integrating a PostgreSQL price database with the Frankfurter API for live USD-to-CNY conversions.
    • Designed Laxcen's website AI assistant with a RAG pipeline and vector database over the product catalogue to return source-grounded answers to customer queries.
    • Led RFID market research spanning logistics, asset-tracking, and livestock applications, presenting findings directly to company leadership.
  3. January 2026 — Present

    D1 Sports Analyst

UCSD Women's Volleyball · San Diego, CA

    • Built an in-game play predictor using recurrent neural networks to forecast opponents' next attack live from sideline-tracked data.
    • Developed a Regularized Adjusted Plus-Minus (RAPM) model with scikit-learn RidgeCV over league-wide Big West Conference VolleyMetrics data (1,000+ Division I players) to rank each player's contribution to win probability.

CarbinWatcher

April 2026 — Present

3rd place at UCSD DataHacks 2026 — an autoscaling cloud backend for a computer-vision smart trash can, streaming MQTT through AWS IoT Core, Kinesis, and S3 (with parallel DynamoDB writes) into a live React/Next.js app, plus Databricks + XGBoost analytics on the side.

KLMathPrep

March 2026 — Present

A full-stack AWS web app for my math-tutoring business — authentication, scheduling, and student data, with Python Lambda functions (triggered by EventBridge) sending SES confirmation, cancellation, and reminder emails.

UCSD Smart Analyst

April 2026 — June 2026

A PostgreSQL-integrated AI agent for the volleyball coaching staff — it collects, cleans, and loads VolleyMetrics data into Neon, then answers stats questions with validated SQL and Plotly visualizations general-purpose LLMs can't match.
